In November 2020, the city of Buenos Aires received the Safe Travels international seal of approval from the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC). The purpose of this seal is to support tourist destinations that adopt and comply with hygiene, sanitation and physical distancing protocols.

The Safe Travels la Ciudad seal guarantees that a destination is safe and prepared to receive tourists, complying with all the global health and hygiene requirements and guidelines established and endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC).

This is intended to offer travelers entering the city the confidence and security they need, knowing that the city is well thought out and prepared, with the presence of protocols in the different areas and with the correct sanitary measures to attend to the population.
