30 Students from Latin America were chosen to pursue a postgraduate scholarship in Buenos Aires

In order to attract the best young talents and professionals from Latin America, the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, together with 16 universities, is awarding 30 full scholarships for Latin American graduates to pursue a Specialization, Master's or Doctorate degree.

Within the framework of the third call for Study BA Scholarships for postgraduate studies in Buenos Aires (2023), the final selection of the winners of the scholarship program was carried out by a jury. The jury was composed of experts in International Education: Juan Petrillo, Director of International Relations of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), María Belén Cerimedo, Collaborator of the Department of International Cooperation of the Universidad Abierta Interamericana (UAI), Ruth Dekiermacher, Representative of International Affairs of the Universidad Nacional de las Artes (UNA), Mauro Alejo Guevara, Director of International Relations of the Government of the City and Nicolás Tumminaro, responsible for International Relations for Latin America of the same department. 

The program had more than two thousand five hundred (2500) applicants from 19 different countries. Of these, 30 graduates were selected as winners, and this edition (the 3rd) was the one with the highest number of applications and selected students of the last two previous campaigns (2021 and 2022).

The winners were Paula Pacheco Montero (Colombia), Yurani Andrea Gonzalez Jurado (Colombia), Yajaira FIgueroa Castillo (Peru), Kamila Giraldo Quintero (Colombia), Daiana Paola Morato García (Colombia), Ana Clara de Oliveira Sarmiento (Brazil), Laura Herrera Henao (Colombia), Osman Giovany Plata Padilla (Colombia), Daniela Paola Moran Gomez (Venezuela), María Fernanda Herrera Alonso (Mexico), Osiris Olvea Anaya (Mexico), Eduardo de Souza Oliveira (Brazil), Carlos Manuel Imbol Alvarez (Colombia), Karla Daniela Mercado Torres (Mexico), Laura Taborda (Colombia), Mateo Ramos Agudelo (Colombia), Stephanie García Martinez (Mexico), Maria Fernanda Velazco Castillo (Mexico), Angie Vanessa Quintana Arevalo (Colombia), Gabriela Georgina Zahuita Ornelas (Mexico), Andrea Julieth Castillo Reyes (Mexico), Daniela Fernanda Alfaro Lobo (Honduras), Karla Betancourt Rodriguez (Cuba), Marco Khipo (Ecuador), David Zea (Colombia), Jenny Katherine Méndez Silva (Colombia), Karelly Dayana González Sequeira (Nicaragua), Penélope María Benvenga Padrón (Venezuela), Roger Octavio Orihuela Zambrana (Bolivia), Cecilia Fragoso Miranda (Mexico).

The full scholarship will offer graduates the opportunity to live a unique multicultural experience in the best city in Latin America to live and study (QS Ranking 2022), where in addition to completing their academic training, they are expected to develop new and better skills in their professional and career development. 

The initiative, organized for the 3rd consecutive year, highlights the joint work and the associative agenda of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires with the Higher Education Institutions based in the city, in the metropolitan area and in the Province of Buenos Aires.

The Universities participating in the 3rd edition are: Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA), Universidad Abierta Interamericana (UAI), Universidad del Salvador (USAL), Fundación Barceló, Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA), Universidad Nacional de Lanús (UNLA), Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero (UNTREF), Universidad de Ciencias Empresariales y Sociales (UCES), Universidad del CEMA (UCEMA), Universidad de Flores (UFLO), Universidad Católica (UCA), Universidad Nacional de San Martín (UNSAM), Universidad Nacional de las Artes (UNA), Universidad Nacional de Quilmes (UNQ). Universidad del Cine (UCINE), Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (UTDT).
