Ph.D. IN LITERATURE

The Ph.D. in Literature provides top-level training in different areas in literature. The department’s graduate program requires that applicants have obtained a solid undergraduate background in literature. However, we also accept students from related degree courses in humanities. The purpose of earning a Ph.D. is to become an indepent scholar as well a a teacher of the subject. The most important accomphisment during the Ph.D. is the writing of the doctoral dissertation. Once enrolled, the Ph.D. student will have a term of between two and four years to complete the proposed activities and present the doctoral thesis.
