The Certificate in Latin American Studies explores the most current social, political, linguistic and cultural developments shaping Latin America today. Students may take 3 or 4 courses. The courses offered focus on topics such as: Cultural Studies and Civilization, Genocide, Human Rights, Film, Dictatorship and Activism and International Relations. All courses take a comparative, area studies approach to ensure a critical understanding of the issues studied.  

How to apply?

General requirements: • Minimum GPA: 3.0 and good academic standing at home College or University. • At least 18 years of age when starting the program at UTDT. • A minimum of 4 semesters of college-level Spanish or proof of having at least a B2 level (only for courses taught in Spanish) • For MBA courses: be at least 26 years of age and have a minimum of 3 years of work experience. Application documents (all PDFs): 1. Application form (English / Spanish) 2. Official University transcript in English or Spanish including the grades of the most recent semester and an explanation of the grading system used at the home University 3. Proof of Spanish language proficiency 4. One page CV (resume) 5. Copy passport information page (if a multiple passport holder, please only send the one that will be used to enter Argentina) 6. Passport size photo for picture ID
